Henrik Ibsen was a prominent Norwegian playwright and was considered the greatest poet of modernity in his death in 1906. In the second half of the 19th century he was seven times in holidays in Gossensass/Colle Isarco. In 1997 the meeting room of the Brenner/Brennero city hall was dedicated to the best known tourist during the 8th International Ibsen Congress. Today the Henrik Ibsen memorial hall contains a documentation and exhibition on the writer's work.
